This Week's UK Independent "Alternative" Singles Top 40 Chart - [to 29th March 2014]

Here is the Official Independent Singles Chart (UK Independent Singles Top 40) for the week ending 29th March 2014: UK Independent Top 40 Chart - to 29th March 2014

Hello! How was your weekend?
Mine was relaxing, thanks for asking. I'm fairly new to relaxing. It's nice.

I had a rare few minutes spare, so decided to check out George Michael's new live album "Symphonia" (I was curious) whilst writing this post. I'm sipping on freshly squeezed orange juice, listening to Monsieur Michael's ageless voice, remembering when Wham! was in its heyday. Yes, I know I'm only 21 but, well.

Time flies...

So, on to this week's Indie 'alternative' chart.

Here's the long and short of it:

Dvbbs & Borgeous ft. Tinie Tempah's "Tsunami (Jump)!" begins its second week at number 1.

London Grammar's "Hey Now" is in at number 2 from number 13.

Vance Joy's "Riptide" is down to number 3. DJ Fresh vs. Jay Fay featuring Ms. Dynamite's "Dibby, Dibby Sound" has gone down to number 4 and "Let Her Go" by Passenger stays firm at number 5.

So, 'tis officially spring and the songs seem to be springing all around the charts! (*Boom, boom...)

Have a great week!

This Week's UK Independent "Alternative" Singles Top 40 Chart - [to 22nd March 2014]

Here is the Official Independent Singles Chart (UK Independent Singles Top 40) for the week ending 22nd March 2014: UK Independent Top 40 Chart - to 22nd March 2014

Hello! Guess what? There are changes in the "Alternative" chart's Top 5 positions at last.
DJ Fresh vs. Jay Fay featuring Ms. Dynamite's "Dibby, Dibby Sound" has gone down from number 1 to number 3, in its sixth week in the charts.

Tinie Tempah is straight in number 1 with Tsunami (Jump)! Reading the comments on YouTube is interesting. This version seems to be on a par with Marmite. What do you think?

Vance Joy's "Riptide" is still at number 2. Tegan and Sara's "Everything is Awesome" was knocked down one place to four.  "Let Her Go" by Passenger is still at number 5.

So, changes in the spring!

Have a lovely week!

Guess what? DJ Fresh vs. Jay Fay featuring Ms. Dynamite's "Dibby, Dibby Sound" is STILL at number 1, now for the fifth week.

Vance Joy's "Riptide" switches places with Tegan and Sara (again) and goes up one. Artic Monkeys have 'gawn' from the Top 5. For Now.

Well, that's that.

'Tis Pancake Day! Here's a Tasty #Vegan #Pancake #Recipe for You ;)

To all of you who love pancakes, and to those of you who couldn't give a 'toss' about Shrove Tuesday (tee hee!), this one is for you.

We're sure you'll love these pancakes.

This is a vegan recipe. If you aren't vegan, you will not know the difference, promise: http://www.food.com/recipe/5-minute-vegan-pancakes-132263

Vegan pancakes. Scrumdiddlyumptious.

One of my fave pancake toppings to have on Pancake Day is

  1. Sprinkle sugar over your pancakes
  2. Squeeze lemon juice over or pour freshly squeezed lemon juice over your serving
  3. Have a good old nosh!
Another of my fave toppings is chopped bananas with syrup and a cup of tea on the side!

Even though we're briefly away from the UK setting up offices abroad, we'll certainly be munching on these and aiming to challenge anyone we come across to a pancake race. Here at Tygahoney Music HQ, we take the good British traditions and share them around the world...

Do send photos of your pancakes if you do make some.  We'd love to see your masterpieces.

Enjoy. Happy Pancake day!

DH x
