Before I Chase Those Z's I Wanted To Let You Know

After a week of hard slog filled with frustration, determination, resolve, re-affirmation and a couple of reality checks going toe to toe with fulfilling and eventful moments such as learning to play the ukelele in 20 seconds and then directing a mini 'uke'stra, playing my blue sparkly Descant recorder on a recording  due to overwhelming inspiration (haven't played since I was a pre-teen or would they say "tweenie" these days?!), setting up and hosting a virtual pre-release listening party and succesfully not once mentioning anything to do with a particular world sporting event happening in my home town to one single soul (not once), I think you get the picture... I'm ready to try to get forty winks. Being an insomniac that might be difficult, but I'll whip out the organic chamomile tea and take my chances. Before I settle down and attempt to do a modern Rip Van Winkle (sleep forever) I wanted to let you know that there is some cool activity going on with Tygahoney and Pinterest. Tygahoney Music has a co-release Pinterest board that we have created with Tigersonic Tracks for our upcoming single Candid.

If you are Pinterested, check it here and follow: Candid Unleashed on Pinterest

Thank you! Wish me luck for catching those z'ssss please...

Thanks for reading.

Have a great weekend!

A Female/Tiger collaboration - Candid [Chillstep] - Coming Soon!

Tygahoney Music's next single 'Candid' will be co-released with Tigersonic Tracks. This lush, chilled out piece of music will be a collaborative release by myself, Danelle Harvey and Felix Macintosh, two females from London. We both own our own independent record labels and are chuffed to be working together. The track has a lovely Asian/Indian flavour. With my vocals on top and Felix playing Bass, it truly is a joyous project to be working on as musicians doing our thing!

The release date is set for 21 August 2012. Please join us on our CandidUnleashed Pinterest board to stay-up-to date with our release related Pinterest posts.

I'll post some clips of the track up soon!

Stay tuned for more news. Thanks for tuning in.

Review by Jazzreloaded.com of Our Single 'Colour'

This review didn't get put up on this blog t'other day! Slap my wrists, I've obviously had a lot going on to have let this one slip. But that is a good sign, right?

Respect and big thanks to Mr Taylor (an incredible musician), Founder and Editor-In-Chief of the Parliamentary award winning JazzReloaded for his commentary on our latest music release.

Here are my fave parts of the write-up:

"What can I say. The song has an embarrassingly simple message, made all the more embarrassing by the reality that swathes of communities and individuals on both sides of the Atlantic continue to fail to heed or apply the message. This song, and its premise, is not something to be intellectualised. After all, the decision to discriminate against people based on their skin colour was based on intellectual premises...

“Please don’t hate me for the colour of my skin”

They are words to live by, and as ever, Danelle is one with the courage to live by her lyrics."

"Danelle Harvey and Rhythm Rhyme Revolution present a song entitled "Colour". Which was released on 13th July 2012. Just looking at the artwork alone is very intriguing. But in all honesty this is the type of music that is relevant. I love the lyrics "Please don't hate me by the colour of my skin" and the instrumentation behind it. Reminds of original Afro Beats/High Life.

The video also has that old school original feel to it. Not complex but very simple. I always bang on about real music. Truth is real music has no genre. Real music speaks to your heart and soul, like this. I give this 5/5 and would recommend that you buy and support the real music movement. Grab your copy via clicking here. This music song is just simply magnificent."
